Stay Hungry Stay Foolish

Book Summary:

Rashmi Bansal wrote this refreshing and much needed book, Stay Hungry Stay Foolish in an attempt to connect with the youth of India. The idea behind it is in finding opportunities within the medium of business without having to lose yourself in the sea Stay-Hungry-Stay-Foolishof corporate entities. The 25 M.B.A. graduates are the real stars of the novel and they champion the cause of entrepreneurship. The author has made it a point to involve stories with an intensely personal style which makes the stories come alive.

The book engages these entrepreneurs in three different groups under the headings of “The Believers” “The Opportunists” and “The alternate vision’. Ruby Ashraf, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Sunil Handa, Anand Halve and Shantanu Prakash and 20 others tell the story of how they faced many hardships on. Sanjeev Bikhchandani is the creator of Naukri.com and his branichild became one of the biggest job portals in India. He and Shantanu Prakash, the founder of Educomp are part of the “Believers” camp with their visionary perseverance.

Ruby Ashraf didn’t plan on entrepreneurship but turned her hobby into a major business, Precious Formals. For this reason she falls into the “Opportunists” category where inventiveness trumps the initial lack of inclination towards ownership. “The Alternate Vision” stands for those entrepreneurs who use the avenue to impact society and culture. Anand Halve created Chlorophyll, a consultancy where ‘small is beautiful’ as an alternate model to entrepreneurship.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
