Palampur

Known as the “Tea Capital of North India” Palampur is a small hill station located in Kangra Valley, Himachal Pradesh. This small hill station got its name because of the numerous brooks and streams. “Pulum” in English means abundant water.

This sleepy hill station has lush green cover of pine forests and tea plantations with stunning snow clad Dhaulandhar Ranges in the backdrop. Adding to its scenic beauty are the tallest Deodar Trees-which are considered largest in India. Palampur is also the starting point for treks to Dharamshala & Kangra. The famous-Bajinath-Manali Trek also passes through Palampur.

For adventure sport lovers-Palampur is the perfect place for Paragliding options. It is also referred to as the “Paragliding Capital of the Country”.

This small quiet town is a perfect summer getaway. Enjoy some aromatic Kangra Tea with the background of snow clad mountains.
