Pahalgam

Known as the “valley of shepards”, Pahalgam is situated 96kms from Srinagar at an altitude of 2130m above the sea level. The valley is located on the confluence of Lidder River and streams originating from Sheshnag Lake. The valley offers mesmerizing beauty with the panoramic view of the Himalayan Ranges. Thickly covered with Pine Trees and gentle flowing of liver Lidder river is a treat for nature lover. Pahalgam is also popular among tourists for its adventure activities like trekking, horse riding, water sports and gold.

Baisaran, a beautiful clam meadow situated 6kms from Pahalgam is one of the most important tourist spots. Snow covered Tulian Lake I another must visit. Some of the other places to visit are Mattan, Tasar Lake, Shikargah, Sun Temple and Lidderwat.
