LG G5 and its friends

The main element of the G5 is its modular design and LG showcased a few of those modular elements at MWC along with the phone.

First off we have the HI-Fi audio B&O play sound module which as the name suggest is made by bang and olufson this Hi-Fi DAC audio player module is perfect for users who want to enjoy the best quality audio on their smartphones. The B&O module has the ability to play high definition audio files encoded in 32 bit and 384 KHz.

Second is the Cam plus module, this module can be attached to the battery slot. The module comes with a shutter, record, zoom and power button along with a comfortable grip. It also has options for exposure lock and auto focus among others. The module also has a 1,200 mAh battery which expands the total battery.

Along with other things LG also showcased a VR headset called the 360 VR, the headset is connected to the phone via a dedicated cable and offers an experience as if the person is watching a 130-inch TV from 2 meters away. It delivers an a pixel density of 693ppi and is compatible with 360-degree videos, Google Carboard apps and images captured from LG 360 CAM.

LG also showcased a rolling bot a companion robot which rolls like a ball and capture videos and photos with its 8-megapixel camera. The bot can be used as pet care companion or home security; the bot can connect to WiFi and stream live feed.

There is an H3 by B&O Play which is a high-end earphone compatible with the LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play, specially designed for audiophiles.

LG 360 CAM is another friend of the G5 which features two cameras of 13-megapixel resolution and wide angle lens. It comes 4 GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot and 1,200mAh battery. It records 2K video and 5.1 surround channel sound courtesy to the three microphones on board.

Last but not the least LG also announced a LG Tone Platinum a premium Bluetooth headset to offer lossless 24-bit audio quality courtesy to the aptX HD codec.

The G5 has included a Friends Manager app which works like a hub application that enables the smartphones to connect with LG Friends accessories while eliminating the hassle of device pairing.
