Sony Alpha 6000 – World’s fastest camera

Sony has introduced the world’s fastest camera. Can you guess the sharp focus speed? It is an unbelievable 0.06 seconds.

It has a 179-point phase-detection AF sensor with a 25-point contrast-detection AF. The dual AF system also operates in movie mode. So you can shoot about simply anything. The Alpha 6000 will also rattle off stills at up to 11fps, even with AF tracking engaged. And the click sound, it’s amazing.

There’s also a micro HDMI port for direct output to a TV.

A lovely sleek look, more of a classic hold. Light weight, thus nice to carry around. Cameras should have a good grip to avoid the slip; Sony sure won’t disappoint you on that front. You get two control dials and seven customizable buttons. There’s space round the back for a tilt-able 3inch screen and electronic viewfinder.

It’s a big and bright OLED affair which adjusts what you’re seeing as conditions change; ramp up that exposure and your view will alter accordingly. Your DSLR is nowhere near it. More features include, built-in flash, hot shoe, Wi-Fi for easy sharing of pictures and NFC for easy pairing with other devices.

With a 24.3MP Exmor-R sensor, this sure is the new cool thing in town. Also has Bionz X processor, which is apparently three times as quick as the last generation Bionz and which gives it noise-free pictures at high ISO settings.

So, the Sony Alpha 6000 is believed to be launched in April this year. Can’t wait? Me neither!
