China's Yi Siling wins First Gold of London Olympics

China’s Yi Siling won the first gold medal of the London Olympics 2012 in the women’s 10-meter air rifle event. Poland’s Sylwia Bogacka claim silver while Yu Dan of China won the bronze medal.

Top-ranked Yi Siling was the favourite of winning and she scored 502.9. Sylwia Bogacka scored 502.2 and Yu Dan finished with 501.5.

Last year’s champion Katerina Emmons finished in fourth place.
