Saina Nehwal wins her first match

India’s medal hope continues as ace badminton player Saina Nehwal won her opening match against Brazil’s Lohaynny Vicente.

Saina beat her 21-17, 21-17 in women’s singles badminton preliminaries.

Earlier PV Sindhu also won her first group league match. She defeated Hungary’s Laura Saros 21-8, 21-9 in women’s singles.
