Unseeded Italian Andreas Seppi stunned the Rod Laver Arena when he knocked out 17-tiome grand slam winner and world number 2 Roger Federer 6-4, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 in the 3rd round of the ongoing Australian open.

This was also Seppi’s first win against Federer in 11 attempts.

This was also the first time since 2003 when the tennis-lovers will not see Federer in the semis.

“I just tried to enjoy playing on centre court again,” Seppi said after the match adding, “It’s not often you get the chance to play on centre court.”

“I just tried to play my best and I did because I was playing Roger. You never feel comfortable playing against Roger, but I was focussing on my service game, I didn’t have many chances on his serve,” he added.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
