Leander Paes again showed his class at the Rod Laver Arena in the Australian Open 2015 to seal his place in the mixed doubles’ final. His partner Martina Hingis also showed her class in their straight set victory over Shuei-Cuevas pair in the semi finals of the tournament.

The semi final lasted for an hour and fourteen minutes which ended in favour of the dream team of the Australian Open mixed doubles section. The seventh seed pair of Hingis and Paes won it 7-5, 6-4 in 74 minutes to stamp their authority on their opponents. Shuei and Cuevas were playing well in the tournament as they had seen off the second seed and the sixth seed of the tournament but the class of Hingis and Paes was just too much for them. Also they had to fight against the immensely experienced pair of Hingis and Paes who know how to win big matches. But the unseeded pair also showed that they in here for more with the glimpses of what they can do on the court.

In the earlier stages of the encounter the Paes-Hingis pair went a break down in the first set. They were down to 4-1 in the first set. But they came back to win the set 7-5 allowing their opponent to win just a single game in the next 7 games. In the second set it was Paes and Hingis all the way and the unseeded pair just had no answer to their class.
