Chelsea have it easy while the Manchester teams find it hard

Chelsea beat Aston Villa 3-0It was that kind of a weekend where all the big names in the English football had registered important victories to keep their fans smiling. Chelsea continued their excellent start to the tournament with a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa. Diego Costa scored his 8th of the tournament while Oscar and  Willian added the second and the third goal to make it an easy outing.

Manchester City, who are regarded as the biggest title challengers after Chelsea, continued to look vulnerable at the back in spite of winning 4-2 over Hull City. They rode on to a brace from Edin Dzeko after squandering away a 2-goal lead.

The other half of Manchester also looked shaky at the back for they also had a nervy finish to an otherwise comfortable outing. Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie gave United a brilliant start as they found the target twice within the manchester united beat West Ham 2-1first half an hour. West Ham made it 2-1 when Saakho found the back of the net just before the lemon break. In the second half United went down to 10 men as Wayne Rooney was red-carded for a rash tackle. However the Red Devils managed to keep the West Ham attacks at bay and win it 2-1.

Liverpool however failed to register a win in the Merseyside derby as Everton hold them 1-1. Both the teams looked listless yet the there was that tension of a derby match. Steven Gerrard put the reds ahead with a free-kick but Phil Jagielka’s late equalizer denied them their first win of the season.
