The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Parliamentary Board Meeting ended this evening and a press conference was addressed shortly after the meeting ended. The party has accepted, welcomed and respected the mandate with great humility. But no decision on the allies has been made as of now.
The party has made it very clear that it will be forming government in both Maharashtra and Haryana. Remember: BJP has emerged as the single largest party in Haryana and Maharashtra. Although the party hasn’t ruled out any decision on allies but it has chosen observers to be sent in both the states to discuss on the government formations.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP leader J.P. Nadda will be sent to the state of Maharashtra as observers. And the same role will be played in Haryana by Venkaiah Naidu and Dinesh Sharma. These observers will be sent to the states and have been given up the responsibilities of forming the government.
Rebutting on the reports of calls between Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and BJP President Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda who addressed the press release, said that no such phone calls were exchanged between the two. On NCP’s declaration, Nadda called it an “only unconditional support”.
