A year after it resigned and its government in the capital collapsed, the Aam Aadmi Party made a stunning and a magnificent comeback in the national capital, on Tuesday, with a huge victory margin, leaving the BJP to single digits while routing the Congress. The Aam Aadmi Party won 67 seats of the 70-seat Delhi assembly and the other three were won by the BJP.

The landslide victory of the Aam Aadmi Party swept the Modi juggernaut in the capital. No sooner did counting commence than the AAP began trending from major seats in the capital. By noon, the AAP had already entered the double-digit, explicitly indicating its victory, while the other two parties struggled to cross single-digit. The BJP managed to get 3 seats, however, the Congress failed to survive this neck-to-neck, tough battle.

Triumph Celebrations:

Welcoming the clear mandate given by the people of Delhi, the workers, leaders and supporters of the AAP celebrated the party’s triumph at its Patel Nagar office. Smiled adorned the faces of these supporters who energetically celebrated outside the party offices. Slogans ‘Inquilab zindabad’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were chanted by the enthusiastic gathering in an electrified atmosphere filled with gusto. Party supporters continued to pour in from various places to mark this remarkable victory and be a part of the celebrations.

BJP and Congress offices, however, had a deserted look all day long.
