The Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal blamed the opponent parties of planting fake stories against the party candidates, in order to defame the party, just weeks before the elections. He said a senior leader known for planting stories would do so and that he approached the Election Commission to complain about the same.

Taking it to twitter on Wednesday, Kejriwal tweeted, “Last year, farzi stings were shown against 6 of our candidates a few days before elections to defame us. As per our info, similar conspiracies are being planned by by our opponents this time also.” He further tweeted, “A senior leader, famous for planting stories, has hatched conspiracy against some AAP candidates and they will plant farzi stories in media.”

He called this as the “last desperate attempt” of their opponents.

Kejriwal, however, did not reveal the name of the senior leader, who, he says, is about to plant stories against the party candidates in the media.

The BJP’s response was quick to come-in and its leader GVL Narsimha Rao, as quoted by The Times Of India, said, “He is the one who advised Delhi to do sting operations. Why is he feeling scared and jittery? I challenge him to come out and reveal to all if he has some concrete information.”
