Shashi Tharoor is no longer a Congress Spokesperson

Congress has sacked Shashi Tharoor as party spokesperson following his public praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sonia Gandhi has finally given the green signal to drop him from the party spokesperson position after Kerala Congress demanded action against the controversial MP for praising Narendra Modi.

“A spokesperson has to give the party’s views, not his own,” said Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad.

In his first reaction Sashi Tharoor said he accepted party decision.
“As a loyal worker of the Congress, I accept the decision of the party president,” said Shashi Tharoor.
