SC asks Prashant Bhushan to reveal whistleblower’s identity

The Supreme Court on Monday asked advocate Prashant Bhushan to disclose the identity of the whistleblower before it proceeds further. The bench headed by Justice H L Dattu told Mr. Bhushan to submit the whistleblower’s details in a sealed cover who leaked the controversial details entered in a register at CBI Ranjit Sinhadirector Ranjit Sinha’s residence.

Advocate Prashant Bhushan who represents NGO CPIL, a petitioner in the 2G spectrum case, handed over the original visitors’ logbook to court which suggests that CBI director Sinha had conducted many secret meetings with the accused of 2G and coal block scams in his residence. The register shows the frequent visits by many scam accused in his house. The CPIL affidavit sought orders against Sinha.

Sinha’s advocate Vikas Singh has denied the charges and told court that 90% of the entries in the logbook were fabricated.

The next hearing will take place on September 24.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
