Indian Politicians strongly rebut Bilawal Bhutto’s comment

Pakistan People Party’s Chairman and son of Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has made headlines by making some controversial remarks. While addressing people at a party campaign in Punjab’s Multan, Bilawal said that his party would get back all of Kashmir.

“I will take back Kashmir, all of it, and I will not leave behind a single inch of it because, like the other provinces, it belongs to Pakistan,” said Bilawal during the campaign. Wryly, Pakistan People Party is the same political party of Pakistan which wants to maintain good relationship with India.

swamyIn the campaign video, Bilawal is seen quoting certain things energetically while sharing the dais with two former Prime Minister’s – Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Asharaf.

This remark of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has incurred some hot and straight reactions from Indian political parties. The Congress Party has said that he was day dreaming while making those comments. PTI news reported that Congress Party’s Twitter handle carried an image of its former leader and ex-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi with the quote, “Pakistan has surrendered… Dhaka is now a free capital of a free country”.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy called this remark as “a very immature comment”. Dr. Swamy said, “He should learn a lesson that India is capable of finishing the existence of Pakistan, it if comes to war; we don’t want a war. We have fought four and won all of them. In 1971, we could have finished off this Pakistan but we decided not to finish the identity of Pakistan.”

Shahnawaz Hussain of the BJP called Bilawal’s remarks as “irresponsible”. He added, “Kashmir is a part of India and the Kashmir in capture of Pakistan also belongs to us. That is Pak occupied Kashmir and it doesn’t belong to Pak. Jammu and Kashmir reside in the hearts of every Indian and Pakistan can do nothing by making such statements.”

External Affairs Ministry’s Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin called them as statements that are far from reality and take back into the past. He added, “We are in the process of looking forward and looking forward does not mean that our borders will be changed. We made it very clear that as far as we are concerned, the integrity and unity of India is non-negotiable.”

Bilawal Bhutto is going to contest 2018 elections in Pakistan. He belongs to a reputed political family of Pakistan. His father, Asif Ali Zardari has been the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Mother Benazir Bhutto was a crucial politician who was assassinated.
