Narendra Modi Could Say Sorry Over Sonia Gandhi’s Foreign Trips Expense Comment

According to CNN-IBN Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is ready to say sorry over his remark on Sonia Gandhi’s foreign trip expenses.

Earlier in the day Modi had alleged Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi of spending Rs 1880 crore public money during her foreign trip for her treatment. Modi said that the figure he quoted was taken from a newspaper article based on an RTI plea and if it is wrong then he is ready to apologise.

“If these turn out to be wrong, I will apologise. Whatever I said was on the basis of a newspaper article,” Modi said.

However, after the RTI activist Ramesh Verma denied Modi’s claims of Rs. 1880 crore expenditure on Sonia foreign visit, Modi issued a statement saying he is ready to apologise for wrong claiming.
