Unique initiative by Ahmedabad Police; gifting 1-litre Petrol to People who follow Traffic Rules

After successful experiment with gifting discount coupons of local eateries in the Rakhial Police station area in Ahmedabad to the people who are obeying traffic rules, now Ahmedabad police has gone further and gifting 1-litre petrol to the people who followed traffic rules in the city.

Last week about 58 people in Ramol area of Ahmedabad were given one-litre of petrol for free after ensuring that these people followed all the traffic rules and regulations while driving on the roads.

According to inspector P Solanki, police is verifying all the necessary documents like licence and RC book, helmets and seat belts before awarding them.

The Ahmedabad Police told reporters that this initiative has been receiving good responses.

So, my fellow Ahmedabadis, do follow the traffic rules and who knows you may end up winning an attractive gifts and a precious recognition for being a good citizen.
