In a bizarre news that seemingly went global, a man who identifies himself as Alexander Pieter Cirk, recently flew down to Hunan province, from Netherlands, in attempts of getting to have a rendezvous with his ‘online’ girlfriend, a Chinese maiden who goes by the name Zhang.
The man, who has been now termed as ‘maniac’ is 41. He passed some 10 odd days awaiting his beloved at the Changsha airport, when she didn’t turn up. His act has received flak from the world over, but also winning some sympathies from China.
On contacting him, he stated that he had met her online a few weeks back and it was after continuous chats was when he decided to visit her. Perturbed, he now awaits her as questions over existence of the girl keeps surfacing over and over again.
