In response to United Nations decision to investigate the human rights violations in the country, the North Korea has threatened to perform a nuclear test.

North Korean foreign ministry has slammed the United States earlier today, alleging scheming in bringing the UN resolution over human rights investigation.

The US has meanwhile released fresh satellite images, indicating activity at a North Korean nuclear facility.

North Korea had conducted nuclear tests in 2006, 2009 and 2013 and faced economic sanctions.

Reacting to North Korean threat, US State Department spokesman told reporters, “It would certainly be unfortunate to threaten with that kind of activity in response to the legitimate focus on North Korea’s human rights situation by the international community.”
