A supposed gunman was on Monday, injured in a shooting apparently, on the US Capitol grounds. According to the sources who divulged out information, he has been admitted to the hospital and is said to be under observation now.
The shooting seems to have occurred in the Visitors Center of the vast and lush Capitol Complex. Following this incident, the White House was under ‘lockdown’, but that was cleared soon after.
Officials shot the suspect after he pulled out an arm at a Capitol checkpoint, along with a female passerby who sustained some minor injuries, according to Associated Press. Reports further claim that the gunman was a known face. A police officer is said to have had a few injuries, too, but later such claims were brushed aside indicating that there was no threat nor harm being done to any official.
