Olympiad Oscar Pistorius in South African court, judgement awaited

According to the latest developments, the double-amputee Olympic sprint-runner, Oscar Pistorius, who had been battling and awaiting judgement over the charges of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, is in a South African court for further developments to take place in the trial.OP

Monday marked the resume of the trial and is anticipated to last for several days until a judge pronounces verdict in the case. This shall be the second instance when Pistorius has been framed for murder, in the same case.

The legal drama dates back to three years ago when the star’s then partner Reeva Steenkamp was shot dead, allegedly by him, in the wee hours of Valentine’s Day, 2013. The minimum sentence for murder in South Africa’s judiciary is fifteen rigorous years, however a judge might lessen the sentence under exceptional circumstances.
