Parle-G owner’s son arrested for murdering wife

The Kanpur Police has arrested Piyush Dasani (30) for plotting the murder of his 27-year-old wife Jyoti Dasani.

Piyush is the son of Uttar Pradesh biscuit manufacturer, billionaire Om Prakash Dasani, who confessed before police that he plotted his wife’s murder as because he was unhappy with her and wanted to marry another woman with whom he was having extra-marital affair.

On Sunday he took Jyoti out for a dinner and as per the plan his lover’s driver Awdhesh and the driver’s friend Renu Kanaujiya murdered her inside Piyush’s Honda Accord car. Later Piyush told police that Jyoti was “kidnapped by motorcycle-borne men on Sunday night”.

Kanpur IG, Ashutosh Pandey told reporters that, “After a thorough interrogation, Piyush confessed he had conspired to kill his wife with the help of Awdhesh and Renu.” All three accused have been arrested.

Police solved the case by going through CCTV footages from the Carnival restaurant. The discrepancy in Piyush’s shirt led the police to suspect him as a murderer.  In the video, Piyush was seen wearing a different shirt from the one he was wearing the same night when he went to the police station to complain about his wife’s kidnapping. He also left the table for about 15 minutes during dinner. Later Piyush confessed that he went to meet the lover’s driver to give direction.

Police also refused involvement of biker gang and said that that Awdhesh and Renu murdered Jyoti in presence of Piyush inside car. Piyush then change the shirt and went to police station to lodge false report.

The police have also questioned Piyush’s lover in connection with the murder.

Police also informed that Jyoti knew about Piyush’s extra-marital affair. She had informed her parents also about this.
