EC issues notice to Azam Khan over ‘Kargil war’ statement

The Election Commission has sent a show-cause notice to Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan who has tried to polarise the Indian military force ahead of first phase of Lok Sabha polls in UP.

“We are examining the 30-minute video speech of Azam Khan on Kargil War and other issues. We have started probe and if he is found guilty, strict action would be taken against him,” EC officials said.

Azam Khan remains defiant over his remarks on the Kargil war in which he claimed it was ‘Muslim soldiers’ who fought for India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil war against Pakistan and not ‘Hindu soldiers’.

Azam Khan’s comment is not only a violation of model code of conduct, it is also insult to the Indian soldiers who had fought to ensure our security. His nasty comments are insult to the martyrs like Captain Vijayant Thapar, Lt. Colonel Sachin Kumar Kanderiya, Captain Vikram Batra, Major Ajay Singh Jasrotia, Lt. Colonel Vijayraghavan and many more who Azam Khanhad given their lives to protect our soils. The Kargil war was won by Indian soldiers irrespective of religion, caste and creeds.

Azam Khan’s attempts to polarise the brave soldiers who put the nation before their lives, is condemnable, objectionable, punishable and he should be thrown out of Indian politics.

Azam Khan is known for his politics of communalism. He should know the facts before making any public speech on Kargil war. He should be sent to jail for trying to polarise the force and national security.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
