“Would love to work with Shahrukh someday,” says Evelyn Sharma in a conversation with Spectralhues.

She is emerging to be the hottest new girl in Bollywood. The half-Indian half-German Evelyn Sharma who makes her debut with a comedy movie ‘From Sydney With Love’.

Recently with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani &  Yaariyan, Evelyn done with her fifth film in such short time. Let see what Evelyn says about her journey to the Bolloywood.

What’s the story to get a foothold in Bollywood?

I realised that there isn’t really a recipe to “make it” in the film industry. Many people try every day. Some succeed and some fails. I think if you do good work and choose good films you have a fair shot for being successful. 

What struggle you came over from modeling to acting?

I never expected all this to happen to me so I never really felt the struggle. Every day is like a fantastic surprise for me and if I get offered a great project so I go ahead with it. If you don’t expect too much, u won’t get disappointed either. 

What attracts you the most in Bollywood?

I love the music and dance about Bollywood the most! I think it’s fantastic that actors can show so many talents in one project here.

How did you feel when you were facing the camera for the first time?

I was really nervous, but luckily my first shoot was with my dear friend Prateik so he made sure that I felt comfortable. And by now it’s like a piece of cake for me.

How was it working with Divya Khosla Kumar making her directorial debut with ‘Yaariyan’?

It was lovely. She’s a much focused woman and knew exactly what she wanted in movie, which made it easy for me to follow her directions.

How was your experience working with debutant co-stars in the film?

It was a great fun as everyone in the cast was young and adventurous! 

After working with Ranbir Kapoor in Yeh Jawani hai Deewani, who is next on your wish list?

Growing up in Germany I grew up watching SRK films! I adore him and would love to work with him some day!

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Yaariyan court the romantic genre, what’s other genre you looking in next?

I’m really happy because I am about to sign a new film which is a totally opposite genre! News will come soon.

You are seen doing bikini scenes in Yaariyan. What you take on bold scenes?

I don’t mind doing bold scenes as long as I am working with a great team of director, dop and co-star!

Best and worst part about this industry?

The best part about making movies is that you can be a different person every day but on the other side the bad thing is that you get restricted in your personal freedom at times.

Your upcoming projects?

I play a fantastic character in ‘Main Tera Hero’ that also stars Varun Dhawan, Anupam Kher, Illena D’Cruz and can’t wait for the release on April 4^th. After that follows ‘Bhaiyaji Superhit’ with sunny Deol and opposite Arshad Warsi and a few more to be announced soon!
