The rescue operations are continuing as 290 people, mostly high school students, are still missing in Wednesday’s horrendous ferry sank in South Korea.

Six people were died including a female crew member and a student. So far 179 people have been rescued out of 475 on board members including 375 teenage students from a high school in Seoul who went out for a holiday trip.

The 6,825-tonne Sewol sunk 20km off the southern island of Byungpoong within two hours of sending a distress signal at 9.00am (0000GMT) local time.

“I’m afraid there’s little chance for those trapped inside still to be alive,” one senior rescue team official, Cho Yang Bok, told YTN television.

“We won’t give up, although the situation is extremely worrying,” a coastguard spokesman told media.

“I feel so pained to see students on a school trip… face such a tragic accident. I want you to pour all your energy into this mission,” President Park Geun Hye said.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
