Your Weekly Bollywood Rundown

Here’s your quick recap at how things went down this week on the big screen as well as the small screen…

Top NEWSMAKERS of the WEEK

1. Salman Khan: The Bhaijaan of Bollywood is grabbing headlines almost every day for his upcoming flick Sultan. Recently, Sultan found itself in a small controversy and we sincerely hope that all goes well, because we cannot wait to see him and Anushka Sharma on the big screen together.

2. Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover: After a week long events and ceremonies leading to the final big day, their marriage was a fairy tale one. Beautiful dresses, pretty lights and of course, humongous love in the air. And yes, we got all of this from the numerous photos shared on Instagram by the bride and groom and the guests as well.

3.  Kangana Ranaut:  There is not a week when this actress doesn’t not make headlines. What’s NEW this week?

1. Tang Uthake, Houseful 3: All the lead actors, good choreography and groovy numbers: if this song is not fun spirited, then we don’t know what is. This peppy number sees the lead actors dancing and shaking a leg with their lead ladies. It is only a matter of time before this emerges as the chart topper and becomes a constant in all the parties.

New in TELLYLAND

1.  The Kapil Sharma Show – a huge success: When the news broke that Comedy Nights With Kapil was going off air, many were disappointed. But to their surprise and delight, a new show with the same cast was on its way. The Kapil Sharma Show has the same cast, a slightly new concept and the same thunderous laughs. This show has done exceedingly well and we hope it continues to entertain us.

2.  TRP Rating of the week: With this week’s TRP ratings in, it is safe to say that Naagin and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein continue to rule over the small screen. This goes on to prove the importance of drama on the Indian television.

3.   IPL Fever has caught on: In a country where cricket is as strongly followed as any religion, the IPL fever catching on has not come as a shocker. It has affected many shows and channels already, but has helped Sony Max to remain the most watched channel.
