Ekta Kapoor’s Next TV Series ‘Diya Mann’, A Remake Of DDLJ

Ekta Kapoor is all set to remake bollywood’s longest running movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge for television.  Directed by Aditya Chopra, DDLJ was released in 1995 and it was the biggest hit of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s career till date.

According to Zee Television sources the serial would be titled Diya Mann and Sara Khan of Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein fame, will play Kajol’s role. The male lead yet not been finalized by Ekta Kapoor.

Sara Khan, who played a cameo in upcoming Anurag Kashyap’s movie ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’, confirmed the news to media, “Yes, I am doing the Balaji show. They contacted me and I auditioned online.”

Diya Mann may go on air in April on Zee Tv either at 9:30 or 7:30 slot, replacing either Ram Milaayi Jodi or Choti Bahu.

Ekta Kapoor’s Bade Acche Lagte Hai, Parichay and Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada are some of the current ongoing popular show on TV.
