~ Inspired by Chanakya’s teachings, Arhaan Behl excited to essay Emperor Chandragupta Maurya ~
While the making of a great King requires immense dedication, sustaining a King’s lineage commands equal amount of work. Chandragupta Maurya, known to be an ideal king, was famous for balancing his benevolence and aggression in the most perfect way. Not only was he known for his benevolence, but also his skill as a warrior. COLORS’ historical magnum opus Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat will witness the special appearance of Arhaan Behl as Chandragupta Maurya.The show highlights Ashoka’s relationship with his mother and his journey to becoming Emperor. In a flashback scene, Emperor Bindusara (Sameer Dharmadhikari) will be seen reminiscing about the great example his father Chandragupta Maurya had set for him as a king. Bindusara will use this memory of his deceased father to then set the mold for Ashoka, Sushim and Siamak. Bindusara’s learnings from his father will connect the three generations of Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara and Ashoka.
Arhaan Behl, who hails from Ajmer, Rajasthan, is known to not essay special appearances. The role of Chandragupta Maurya appealed to him since he has read the book Chanakya’s Chant closely and Chanakya’s teachings to Chandragupta Maurya have inspired him greatly. Deciding that it would be interesting to enact those teachings on screen, Arhaan Behl will be seen essaying Chandragupta Maurya on Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.
