It has been in the hotlist of the speculations for many a days – what will be Steven Spielberg’s next directorial venture. Many rumors are round. And, the latest is that he is on for filming Dalton Trumbo’s 49 years old epic script – Montezuma.

Dalton Trumbo in 1965 worked on the script and intended to cast Kirk Douglas. Martin Ritt (Hud) was also thought for directing it. But, it remained in the development hell for nearly half a century. The plot is speculated to revolve around the bloody collision between Montezuma and Cortez.

And, now, as per the sources go, Steven Spielberg, Javier Bardem, and Steve Zaillian – the three stalwarts are looking forward to show it the rays of daylight.
