Danny Boyle to direct Universal Pictures’ Steve Jobs biopic

Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle is set to direct Universal Pictures’ Steve Jobs biopic.

After Sony Pictures turn down the biopic of Apple co-founder without giving any reason, Universal Pictures have taken up the project in less than week timing. Universal has reportedly acquired the rights at over 30 million dollars. The film is being co-produced by Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guyman Casad.

Scripting by Aaron Sorkin, the movie is based on Walter Isaacson’s bestselling biography Steve Jobs.

Michael Fassbender will play the role of Steve Jobs and Jessica Chastain is rumored to play a female assistant to Jobs. It is also reported that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will appear briefly in the film.
