2011 Golden Globe Awards Nominations Announced

The 69th annual Golden Globe Awards nominations was announced on Thursday at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel.

The breakthrough movie of 2011, a tributie to Black-n-white silent movie era “The Artist” topped the chart with six nominations including best comedy or music film, best comedy or music actor, best supporting actress, and best director.

 “The Help” and “The Descendants”  got five nominations each. Political drama “The Ides of March”, directed by George  Clooney received four Golden  Globes nominations. Also Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris and Brad Pitt starrer Moneyball got the nomination.

HBO drama “Boardwalk Empire”, “Homeland”, ‘Game of Thrones”, NBC’s “30 Rock” and Fox’s “Glee” are some of the nominees on the small screen category.

The Golden Globe award ceremony to be held in Los Angeles on January 15th.
