Shraddha Kapoor has been in news recently for all good things – her Baaghi success as well as her crooning skills. This time around, she is in buzz because of getting associated with ‘Haseena – The Queen Of Mumbai’ biopic project. The real twist lies in the fact that she will be seen sharing the screen space with her real life brother Siddhant Kapoor, for the first time ever. Well, the interesting tale doesn’t end here. Initially, Sonakshi Sinha was approached to play the titular role of Haseena, but the circumstances made her exit the project and instead, Shraddha was roped in to play the role.

The film is centralized around the life of Haseena, whose brother was Mumbai’s infamous underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The movie will depict the whole chronological journey of Haseena, right from her teenage years till she turned 40. The real-life sibling duo will get tagged in the same relationship onscreen too, as Siddhanth is going to take on the role of Dawood Ibrahim.
Director Apoorva Lakhia, who is currently engrossed in deep research of the subject, says, “They have both been locked for the film which starts in November-December in one schedule. Siddhanth was one of the first persons to be locked to play Dawood after he did a screen test and they looked very similar. Haseena’s journey starts from when she is 17-year-old to 40, so Shradha fit into the role perfectly and she was keen to do something different and the opportunity for both (brother and sister) to work together does not come as often.” Now, the amazing chemistry between the sibling duo remains to be seen in the film itself!
Shraddha is also in news for her another film, Rock On 2, in which she is going to discover more of her singing caliber. If sources are to be believed, Shraddha was initially skeptical about singing all the songs in her forthcoming film. Only after the makers of the film and her co-star convinced her, did she agree to lend her voice to all the songs.
Shraddha has never failed to amuse us with her versatility, which is quite evident in her previous projects, too. Undoubtedly, she has set the expectations of her fans high, and is working hard to live up to them.
