Indian Idol Sandeep Acharya dies at 29

Sandeep Acharya, the winner of popular reality show Indian Idol 2, passed away at Medanta hospital in Gurgaon on Sunday. He was 29.

Sandeep was suffering from Jaundice and was admitted in hospital.

“A big loss for all of us with the shocking demise of Indian Idol 2 winner Sandeep Acharya. May his soul rest in peace and may God give strength to his family in this extremely difficult time,” Sony Entertainment posted the news on their Facebook page.

Only 2 days back Akshay Acharya posted singer’s health status on Facebook page.

“Dear Friends..i am Akshay Acharya … inform you that Sandeep`s health not well and admitted in Medanta hospital Delhi. he’s on bed rest for 2 months.. So All events and shows are cancelled.. for any information and upcoming shows .. contact on this number,”

Sandeep Achary came into limelight after became runner up in the Golden Voice of Rajasthan. He then won India Idol Season 2 crown in 2006. He also participated in a TV show Jalwa Four 2 Ka 1. He later won the best new Bollywood talent in New Jersey, USA.
