Actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar serious; is on life support ventilator

 

Veteran Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar who has been admitted at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after complaining of lung infection, is on life support ventilator after his condition deteriorated.

“Amrapurkar has been hospitalised for the past two weeks. He is suffering from complete respiratory failure and is critical. A team of doctors is doing its best to ensure his recovery,” said Dr Santosh Shetty.

The 64-year-old actor, who is best known for his negative characters, has acted in films like ‘Ardhasatya’, ‘Mr. India’, Coolie No. 1, ‘Ishq’ and ‘Sadak’. He also won two Filmfare Awards.

His last film was ‘Bombay Talkies’.
