Oscar-Winning Actor Robin Williams Dies at 63

The Oscar-winning noted Hollywood actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead Monday at his home in Tiburon in California. He was 63.

According to Marin County Sheriff’s Office, the initial reports are indicating a possible suicide by Asphyxiation.

After getting a 911 call from actor’s residence where he lives with his wife, Susan Schneider,the emergency personnel went there and found Mr. Williams’ body inside the house. The police said that he last seen alive at 10 p.m. on Sunday.

According to some reports, Robin Williams “has been battling severe depression of late.”

One of the finest actor of his generation, Willimas became household name over popular American sitcom “Mork & Mindy”. His filmy career includes famous films like “Good Morning, Vietnam,”  “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Dead Poets Society,” “The Fisher King,”  “The Birdcage,” “Awakenings” and “Insomnia.”

Nominated thrice for best actor Oscar, Williams won best supporting actor Oscar for his remarkable role in “Good Will Hunting,” in 1997.

“This might be the one time I’m speechless,” he said while accepting the award.
His last movie “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” will be released in December.

“As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions,” said his wife in her tribute.
