Zoya brings Parmeet Sethi back on screen

Remember Kuljeet in DDLJ? The character played by Parmeet Sethi probably one the most memorable role in his entire filmy career. He was last seen in Sanjay Gupta’s Dus Kahaniyaan in 2007. Since then he was almost vanished from the silver screen.

But now the actor is returning to Bollywood with style. Director Zoya Akhtar has picked him for her upcoming film, Dil Dhadakne Do.

Mirror has quoted a source as saying, “Parmeet was really surprised when he got a call from Zoya. But at the same time, he was thrilled too because he had loved her two earlier films, Luck By Chance and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. He did not take long to give his nod to the project.”

Confirming the news Parmeet’s wife Archana Puran Singh says, “Yes, my husband is a part of Zoya’s next. He was not worried about the length of the role as it’s such a good offer. It will be lovely to see him back on screen. He had put a brake on his acting career when he started writing his directorial debut Badmaash Company.”
