Vidya Balan is on a cooking spree!

We have seen her dance, act and entertain us on screen. With this season’s MasterChef India Season 5, we will also see actress Vidya Balan cook for her audience and fans. This Sunday, viewers will witness the superstar in a complete new avatar, wearing an apron and Chef hat on the show.

Choosing to cook the simplest of the many, omelette, Balan said, “I don’t think I can cook at all. I cannot match up with my mom’s culinary skills.”

While she wouldn’t stop complaining about how much she misses her mom’s dahi chawal, she left no stone unturned in encouraging the contestants, “The homecooks on MasterChef are fabulous. It represents what India actually is, as people from all over the nation come together on one single platform.”

The actress was also seen judging the recipes for the challenge and was busy clicking selfies with one and all on the set.
