Barfi is out of the Oscar Race

India’s official entry to the Oscar, Anurag Basu’s directorial venture ‘Barfi’ is Out of the Race. Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘Barfi’ failed to reach to the next round in the foreign film category.

From the very beginning, lots of controversy had taken place when The Film Federation of India selected ‘inspired’ film Barfi over original films like ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ and ‘Kahaani’. It proves again that Film Federation of India should consider the films which are original and best deserving for Oscars, rather than focusing on ‘box office report’ or glamourous star casts instead.

It’s a total waste of opportunity.
