Anushka Sharma says she is not confident in real life

Bollywood Actress Anushka Sharma says she is very shy and not confident in real life.

Speaking at TOIFA awards the 24-year-old actress said, “I am a very under-confident person. Whatever is seen in films is just a projection of my character. I wish I could be as confident as the characters I play on screen, but I am not. I am a very shy person.”

“It wasn’t planned as I came from Bangalore. We don’t have the influence of films. I didn’t grow up watching films, so it wasn’t a decision to be an actor. But god had something different planned for me,” Anushka said.

She debut in 2008 with Yash Raj Banner film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan.  Her role as a wedding planner in Band Baaja Baraat was praised both by critics and audiences. She received rave reviews for her role in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Media reports have suggested that promising Anushka Sharma made it to the short list of legendary Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film on Kashmir.
