From the director of Tere Bin Laden, comes the next whimsical flick, namely ‘The Shaukeens’. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film implicates the most eminent and splendid starcast, all of whom have turned on to be ecstatic after their film seizes a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The Shaukeens is an altered and modern avatar of 1982 venerable movie Shaukeen. The revolutionized comedy heads a prominent star gang including Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Lisa Haydon along with the Khiladiyon ka Khiladi Akshay Kumar making an exclusive appearance.
The most delighted one to get the Censor Board concurrence is the doyen actor and also the former chairman of CFBC, Anupam Kher. “We got to know today that our film has got U/A certificate from the Censor Board and we all are very happy about it. We should applaud or director and producer that we have made a clean film which could be viewed by everyone”, reported Kher on Friday during the promotion of the film in the Capital.
The film showcases the veteran actors Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra chasing young girls as they desire for love from the opposite sexes. However, film gang refuses to emblematize it as a depreciable comedy. The makers confide that it is not a sordid humor. There are no double meaning dialogues blurted out in the film and it is basically a family entertainer. The film holds a bunch of sitcom fun and finally gives a socio-message to the audiences that men shouldn`t be like this and one shouldn`t lie or else the consequences are beyond one`s imagination, only the crux is 
that these all messages come across a funny way. All actors are ‘glad’ to be correlated with the project. Howbeit, this new-age comedy doesn`t show much resemblances with the 1982 Shaukeen but along with an exception. The most electrifying convolution that lies in this flick is that Rati Agnihotri can be seen showing her ‘forever-good’ acting skills , she was in eighties` Shaukeens too. “She plays my wife in the new one” says Anupam.
It would surely be breath-taking to have a look over at this comicality and experience a die hard laugh atleast for a while, nevertheless, laughter has become `too expensive` these days!! The Shaukeens releases upcoming week on November 7.
