Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ colects Rs 15.4 crore in opening day

Director A.R. Murugadoss’s much-awaited “Kaththi” has fetched Rs.15.4 crore from domestic box office on its opening day.

Featuring superstar Vijay along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Neil Nitin Mukesh, “Kaththi” was released on Wednesday. The action packed movie was reportedly made on around Rs.70 crore.

“Braving all the controversy and low-key promotions, ‘Kaththi’ has registered Rs.15.4 crore at the ticket window on release day in the country. The numbers are phenomenal and the film is expected to set new opening weekend box office record,” trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
