Tribeca Film Festival Winners Announced

Tribeca Film Festival 2014 has announced its winners for the year. The Israeli film Zero Motivation by director Talya Lavie won two prizes including one for best narrative feature.

Paul Schneider, who stars in Angus MacLachlan’s Goodbye to All That and Valeria Bruni Tedeschi of Human Capital took the best acting trophies of the ceremony.

Tribeca Film Festival Winners Announced The winners were announced last night at Gotham’s Conrad Hotel. The festival ran through April 27. The winners are as follows:

 

WORLD NARRATIVE COMPETITION CATEGORIES:

The Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature – Zero Motivation by Talya Lavie (Israel)

Special Jury Mention – The Kidnapping of Michel Houellebecqby Guillaume Nicloux (France)

Best Actor in a Narrative Feature Film – Paul Schneider for “Goodbye to All That”

Best Actress in a Narrative Feature Film – Valeria Bruni Tedeschi for “Human Capital”

Best Cinematography – Damian Garcia for “Güeros”

Best Screenplay– Guillaume Nicloux for “The Kidnapping of Michel Houellebecq”

Best Narrative Editing – Keith Miller for “Five Star”

 

WORLD DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION CATEGORIES:

Best Documentary Feature –Point and Shootby Marshall Curry(USA)

Special Jury Mention – Regarding Susan Sontag by Nancy Kates (USA)

Best Documentary Editing – Sabine Lubbe “Ne Me Quitte Pas”

 

SHORT FILM COMPETITION CATEGORIES:

Best Documentary Short – One Year Lease by Brian Bolster (USA).
