Toyota to launch Vios in India very soon

Japanese automobile giant Toyota is planning launch of its — Vios in India.

According to news agency Nikkei, the company is considering discontinue of the Etios by 2020 and shift focus to bigger car like Vios to compete with Honda City.

Look wise, the all new Vios would be similar like Corolla and Camry. However, Vios may come in two engine options – 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel, powered by 5-speed manual gearbox.

As Etios has not able to win Indian buyers’ hearts, now Toyota is planning to introduce Vios in the Indian market. Nikkei report suggested that by the year 2020, production of the Etios will come to an end and will be fully replaced by the Vios.

No official confirmation on the report has been come yet from Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of Toyota.
