Conditional bail granted to Sahara Chief Subrata Roy

The Supreme Court has granted conditional bail to Sahara chief Subrata Roy after being in jail Conditional bail granted to Sahara Chief Subrata Royfor about 22 days. To avail the bail Sahara chief has to pay Rs. 10,000 crore (50% in cash) to market regulator Sebi.

Yesterday Sahara group presented the new proposal to the apex court in order to repay Rs. 20,000 crore to its three lakh small investors.

In its poroposal Sahara said, it would complete the entire payment in installments. Sahara would refund Rs. 2500 crore in three working days and Rs. 3500 crore each in three installments in June, September, December and Rs. 7,000 crore by March 15, 2015.
