Rowling tells you what happened in North America

Are you a Potter fan?

Have you been wondering lately what happened to those days, when you could swiftly fly above the clouds into the word of magic and wizadry created by J.K Rowling?

Well, this year is going to be a feast for you, and if you’ve haven’t got the faintest idea about how, then here it goes. On 8th March, 2016, J.K Rowling officially released History of Magic in North America, exclusively on Pottermore.

So as J.K Rowling says as you enter Pottermore:-

“If you need a little extra magic in your life, you have come to the right place.”

History of Magic in North America sets out to provide a background and suitable context to the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, slated for release on 18th November.

While the Harry Potter series concentrated on the development of magic only in England, History of Magic in North America will for the first time reveal the intricacies and lineage of magic in America. Rowling divides the epoch into four parts; –

  • Fourteenth to Seventeenth Century,
  • Seventeenth Century and Beyond,
  • Rappaport’s Law,
  • 1920’s Wizarding America

Rowling lets you plunge into the Middle Ages as she establishes the demographic pattern and connection between wizards, muggles and non-muggles (or the No-Maj as they were called in America) to the involvement of wizards during the war of 1914-1918.

As always, it is a treat to read, so visit Pottermore and enjoy the magical history!
