Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged first published in 1957 is her fourth novel, the one that she considers her magnum opus. It is the most emphatic statement of Rand’s philosophy of objectivism. The narrative structure combines two parallel plots blending elements of romance, science fiction and mystery. The novel set in a dystopic world.
