Interaction with best-selling author Vinit K. Bansal

Haryana born Vinit K. Bansal, has a devoted spirit towards reading, writing and composing of his own since childhood. He completed his graduation from I.G.Govt. College, Tohana and earned his Master’s from Kurukshetra University. A voracious reader and an avid writer Vinit, extends his vision to the realm of social service too. He strongly feels that honest writing can draw attention to a lot of social justices and social discrimination, which is restricting the development process of our society.

Apart from reading and writing he loves to watch movies and listening Gazals. He writes permanent columns for “Last Sunday” and “India’h” magazines. Currently he is working in State Bank of India, Daryaganj, New Delhi. “I am Heartless… A Real Confession” is his debut work.

We, at Spectralhues.com got in touch with the author. Here are some excerpts from an interview Vinit K. Bansal gave to Susmita Bose.

Congratulations, Vinit, on the striking success of “I am Heartless…” Please tell us briefly about the responses you are receiving…

I am Heartless bookThanks a lot!! All because of my lovely readers, I wanna say thanks to them for their acceptance and support.

Well… We are getting overwhelming response for “I am Heartless…” and “?? ??? ??…” as both the books are national bestsellers now.

Did you expect the book to do this well or is it a sweet surprise for you?

Frankly speaking we were pretty much sure about the success of this book because this is a unusual but very instance love story but this kind of huge response was not expected at all. As you said this is really a sweet surprise for all of us.

The book also translated in Hindi. What kind of response “Vo Chali Gayi” is getting?

Third edition is out in just second month of its release. Now you can easily understand the positive response we are getting.

You have dealt with the complex human emotions in this mature love story… What motivates you to write this particular story?

Being a novice it has not been easy for me to manage varying emotions of the characters in the novel but where there is a will there is a way… I wanted to share the story in its real version only because nothing can be more unpredictable than reality itself. I believe, each one  of us  has a Viren (the protagonist) inside us who does take relationships for granted, who doesn’t care about feelings and emotions of others.  In story, the story itself inspired me..

Is Viren a completely factious character?

No it is not a factious character, it’s a real one. The motive behind sharing this real story is to make people understand the value of true and selfless love so that no one repeats the same mistake which Viren did.

Being a debutant author how was your experience with your publisher?

My both the publishers Mahaveer for English and Hind Pocket Books for Hindi are very helpful as well as professional. I feel myself really blessed to get a chance to work with these big names of Indian literary world.

What social message do you want to pass on to the readers through your books?

Very short, simple but important message, “Always love the person who loves you.”

Vinit K. BansalHave you started planning for your next book?

Currently, I am working on “I am Heartless-2” which will take some more time.

What kind of books do you like to read? Who are your favourite authors?

I like to read love stories. Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” and “Eleven Minutes” are my all time favourite books. I too believe that there are only two ways to live life, either to be a victim of the situations one faces or to be a winner and have control over situations. It’s all a question of how we view our life. In my case I choose the second one.

And finally tell us how much your life changed after the grand success of your book…

Nothing changed as such. I am still that simple guy who loves rain, hills and mountains.. likes riding bike, swimming, doing never-ending  gossips over cricket, corruption and of course girls, watching movies and occasionally going to disc or pub and sometimes for night-outs also. The only change I can tell you is that now I can’t on the chat on my facebook, gmail and messengers.

Thank you Vinit for your time! Wish you all the best for your future works.

Rather I should be thankful to you (Spectralhues.com and Susmita Bose) for giving me a chance to connect with my readers. Thanks a lot once again and stay blessed!!

Thank was Vinit K. Bansal. Spectralhues wishes him glorious success and hopes he would come up with many more remarkable books.

Sprightly Spirit

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
