The Devil’s Gate: An Impossible Journey by Deepak Kripal

Debutant young author Dr. Deepak Kripal should get applauds for his bold and unique attempt at creating a master class fictional novel “The Devil’s Gate: An Impossible Journey”. The book is refreshing and worth reading. With bold and complicated plot the author justified the story with impeccable details and great imagination.

the-devils-gate-an-impossible-journey-400x400-imadqy32xxdjy4z2The book, which demands untainted concentration, focused on a journey of two protagonist animal characters, Dug (dog) and Katy (cat) who are sent to a secret yet difficult mission to The Island of Five Hundred Graves by an organization called UA (United Animals). The island, occupied by the demons, can only be visible for very short time on the full moon night. Katy and Dug are supposed to negotiate a deal with the demons with help from Billy an owl and convince them to allow the animals to live on the island. The mission is very risky as it involves fighting demon, chilling scenario, monsters, mosquitos etc. The powerful writing style keeps the readers glued to the pages and takes them through an incredible journey.

The book holds one of the most innovative fictional ideas in recent times. The plot is unique and modern compare to the contemporary novels. Also the book is subtle enough to emphasize the cruelty of humans towards animals. It will not take long for anyone to fall in love with Dugand Katy.

While the cover page would remind you Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, the book may bring George Orwell’s animal farm to the reader’s mind.

All in all the The Devil’s Gate: An Impossible Journey is a perfect read which allows reader to enjoy thrilling and adventurous journey till the end.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
