We at Spectralhues got in touch with the author. In a candid interview with Susmita Bose, he talks about his book, experiences and inspirations.

Congratulations on the release of your first book “Journey Of Two Hearts! –will be cherished forever”. What kind of response you are receiving?

I never thought to be an author. I just wrote a diary for Pakhi when we were together and made it to book when I was in hospital. From a mamma’s boy to lover and then to an author, this Journey seems like a dream.

Is the book based on real incident?

Yes, JOURNEY OF TWO HEARTS…is a TRUE LOVE STORY of protagonist Anuj (myself) and the bird of desires Pakhi.

Why you chose to write this particular story?

There is no doubt to say her name. Pakhi is my motivation to write “Journey Of Two Hearts”, I wrote for her. My Journey to be an author seems like a dream. Journey from a mamma’s boy to an author is really amazing but painful though that pain is continuing. I never thought to be an author but now I am and how, even I don’t know but now that is true I made for that only.

I just started writing for her with one wish that I will gift her when we’ll get married. But as life has two sides, good and bad, so I was not untouched with this reality. Then my wish to gift this book to her converted into a novel in ocean of tears, but journey was not over; I knew one thing, ‘After crossing the ocean of tears, I will definitely find the way of happiness’ and it happened with me. So, I can say my life, people around me and of course, Pakhi is the inspiration for me to be an author and a motivational speaker.

Loving someone is not tough but the real courage is to forget your loving one’ – tell us more on this…

As such, there is nothing to explain. When you love someone, you just love him or her till your last breathe and I did the same but as life has two sides good and bad. When I woke up every morning with her voice, with love and laugh but the day came when I slept many nights alone with my wet pillow. My book is the mirror image of my life-

(From the book)

When I cared, I cared like a mother and listened as a father;
When she shared her secrets, she shared as her sister,
When she cried, I was always there to pamper her.

How was your experience with your publisher?

Publisher who gives the chance and make you an author always deserve a better place. So I am happy and would be always with Srishti Publishers.

To whom you want to dedicate this book?

To Pakhi

Tell us a little bit about your journey from being an IT professional to become an author…

I always wanted to do something different from crowd but how and what to do, a big question. When I was a kid, I used to say my parents, I want to do something different and every time my mom slapped me and then again, I was back to my studies. But that spark was still there. When I left home for my engineering then I had enough time to think about my future and my life, years passed but I had the same thought to do something different but how and what to do, still a big question. Then that spark was about to collapse and I started dreaming a good job and salary after my engineering. During my college days, I fell in love with Pakhi. Life started moving very fast. I never thought to be an author; I just started writing for her with one wish that I will gift her when we’ll get married.

From your busy schedule, how do you manage to find time for writing?

Well, just to start off, I work with a prominent IT company. Brought up in the bustling streets of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where chaos is the order of the day, I learnt to circumvent the streets first, and then the convoluted life itself. I live in Mumbai and works with NGO’s over the weekends as well. I have tasted the water of many fountains, “Some were sweet, and some sour.” JOURNEY OF TWO HEARTS! is my debut novel. In addition to academics, I completed my studies from Jaypee University. Working as a software engineer and an author are not easy but where I work from 9am to 6pm for my responsibilities and after that, from 6pm to 9am my passion doesn’t allow me to sit idle, so both go together with my life and I live happily.

Besides writing what other things interest you?

Delivering Speech as Motivational speaker

Which books are close to your heart?

The big question for me, it seems very awkward when an author says, “I haven’t read even a single book in my life except school and college books.” But it’s true, I have so many books in my bookrack and few I started reading but it’s a human tendency to adopt the things and somewhere I felt the same so decided to learn from life only. But my favorite author is J.R.R Tolkien who wrote Lord of the rings, just because of his dedication for his work.

Any message for the Spectralhues readers …

One day we all have to sleep forever, so let’s work hard till the day we breathe and be happy because life will never come back. Happiness matters.

That was Anuj Tiwari! Spectralhues wishes him glorious success and hopes he would come up with many more remarkable books.

About Sprightly Spirit

“I dare do all that may become a man. Who dares more is none”. And all, may be. It may be the vigor. Or the spirit. Or the courage to avoid being “politically correct” or bent. And, ban all averse with immaculate overture of graciously fathomable words firm in views. Subtle. Justifying the undying conscience. Values. Knowledge. And, dares to stay true. True to own. True to the world. And, to the words. With a dream in eyes it exists. In you. In me. In all. The sprite that never shies away. The spirit that never dies!
